Micropalypse_v1
Micropalypse emerged from a non-project-based process of ‘thinking while doing’ while developing an unrelated project. Within time, however, at has come to be a project series in its own right, combining a desire to return to model making with a way of visualising post-apocalytic fetishism. The works in this series are all made at 1:72 scale - a standard and broadly used model making scale which can combine without too much ‘scale clash’ with the 1:87 or OO scale commonly used by railway modellers.
The dioramas stand as individual works, as a loose narrative series, or as sets for a proposed live cinema performance.
